In selecting outdoor gold decorative aluminum materials, pure aluminum substrates suffer from insufficient strength and are prone to deformation during large-size installations. High-magnesium aluminum alloys often exhibit issues such as a grayish tint and significant color variations within the same sheet due to interference from alloying elements. 5005 H14 gold anodized aluminum sheet, with its inherent weather resistance and moderate rigidity in the work-hardened state, precisely balances the three core requirements of structural safety, film texture, and long-term weather resistance, making it a cost-effective choice for high-end outdoor decoration and industrial exterior finishes. Haomei Aluminum has specifically optimized the anodizing and coloring parameters for this grade, achieving a pure warm gold tone and batch stability. It can directly replace some mid-to-high-end stainless steel finishes, significantly reducing overall project costs.

5005 gold anodized aluminum sheet

5005 is an aluminum-magnesium alloy with rust-resistant properties. Its core component is 0.50%-1.10% magnesium, supplemented with trace amounts of silicon and iron impurities. The matrix itself possesses excellent atmospheric corrosion resistance and UV aging resistance. The H14 work-hardened state achieves semi-hard mechanical properties through precise cold deformation: tensile strength is stable at 125-165 MPa at room temperature, specified plastic elongation strength ≥85 MPa, and elongation after fracture ≥10%. This provides approximately 40% higher structural rigidity than 1060 O-state pure aluminum while retaining sufficient bending and edge-rolling allowances, allowing for conventional 90° right-angle bending without cracking. Compared to the higher-strength 5052 H32, 5005 H14 has a lower alloy element content, resulting in higher film transparency and a purer golden color after anodizing, without visual defects such as darkening or fogging. Meanwhile, this state exhibits excellent dimensional stability, exhibits minimal creep under varying outdoor temperature conditions, and is less prone to warping and deformation after installation on large panels, making it suitable for long components such as curtain walls and large signage.

Targeting the alloy characteristics of the 5005 substrate, Haomei employs a sulfuric acid Type II anodizing process, controlling the oxidation bath temperature at 20±1℃ and the current density at 1.2-1.4A/dm², generating a uniform and porous oxide film substrate. The gold coloring utilizes an inorganic metal salt adsorption system, coupled with precise control of coloring time and concentration, resulting in a warm gold tone with moderate saturation, avoiding the reddish or greenish color deviations common in ordinary dyeing processes. The standard thickness of the finished oxide film is 12-18μm for outdoor use; a 20-25μm thicker film can be customized for highly corrosive coastal areas. Color difference within the same panel ΔE ≤ 1.0, and color difference between batches ΔE ≤ 1.5, ensuring no color difference concerns for the entire batch. According to third-party testing, the product showed no pitting or peeling after 1500 hours of neutral salt spray testing, and a color difference change ΔE ≤ 2.5 after 1000 hours of QUV accelerated aging, with a gloss retention rate ≥ 88%. It can achieve color stability for over 10 years under normal outdoor conditions.

5005 gold anodized aluminium sheet thickness covers the mass production range of 0.5-4.0mm, with 1.0-2.0mm being the mainstream thickness for signage and decorative panels, and 2.0-3.0mm suitable for curtain wall panels and equipment housings. Standard sheet sizes include 1000×2000mm, 1220×2440mm, and 1500×3000mm. Custom cutting and irregular shape cutting are supported, with thickness tolerance controlled within ±0.04mm and diagonal deviation ≤ 0.5mm. The surface substrate is available in three finishes: matte, brushed (240-400 mesh), and mirror polished. The finely brushed version offers the most delicate gold texture and is a popular choice for commercial spaces and brand facades. The matte version provides a soft diffused reflection, suitable for large-area curtain wall installations and avoiding light pollution.

5005 H14 gold anodized aluminum sheets are widely used in architectural curtain wall panels, commercial complex facades and column cladding, large outdoor signage, bus shelter decoration, new energy equipment exteriors, and high-end kitchen and bathroom panels. They are particularly suitable for outdoor projects requiring simultaneous strength, weather resistance, and decorative texture. The product is ISO9001, CE, and RoHS certified, conforms to ASTM B580 standards, and meets the market access requirements of most global markets. Haomei maintains a regular inventory of 5005 anodized aluminium sheet in standard thicknesses, with bulk orders delivered within 7-10 days. We support various trade terms including FOB, CIF, and EXW, and settle in USD. Each batch comes with complete material certificates, color difference test reports, and salt spray test data. We can assist clients with initial sampling and technical coordination for projects.
